Established in 2016, Robert Black, a native Washingtonian, has more than 18 years’ experience in the Washington, DC metro area and Colorado with a background in design focused residential architecture as well as light commercial, sustainable and historic commissions.

Inspired by architecture throughout Washington, DC, the Eastern Shore, American Northeast and mountain architecture, Robert's passionate and skilled design approach centers on traditional forms with modern elements, functionality and quality. He guides each project with careful consideration for a balance of scope, site constraints, budget, and considers communication and attention to detail key elements for success in any project.

Robert has extensive experience with additions, renovations and local historic preservation commissions.

Robert is an award winning registered Architect and a member of the American Institute of Architects and the AIA Potomac Valley Chapter.

He resides in Montgomery County, Maryland with his wife, two children, is an avid hockey player and youth hockey coach.
